OMRON expands Russian presence with MT-Systems partnership

electronics industry newsOMRON Electronic Components Europe today announced that it has expanded its Russian distribution network with the appointment of MT-Systems, Ltd. The Russian electronic components distributor will focus on OMRON’s innovative sensor solutions and electromechanical and solid state relays, in support of its strategy to develop in Russia’s industrial, security and medical markets.

Commenting on the partnership, Maria Smirnova, OMRON’s Sales Manager for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, said, “OMRON prides itself on maintaining a strong, local distribution network in Russia and we are always looking to expand our presence in this key market. With a wide database of over 20,000 small, medium and large customers, MT-Systems focusses on demand creation, and actively seeks new projects and customers that could benefit from OMRON solutions. MT-Systems was initially interested in working with our sensors to fill a product gap in their line-card. However, we are delighted to announce that they will now also be stocking our relays, connectors and switches. The MT-Systems team will be trained in supporting customers with these OMRON products.”
