Considerable interest is being shown in using robots in soldering applications and many suppliers have offered bench top and freestanding systems to our industry. Solder suppliers have offered specific materials to aid and overcome common problems with these automated processes. Soldering is conducted with precision soldering irons or laser, but the fundamental rules of good soldering must still be followed to meet the most demanding applications for medical, industrial and automotive products
During his webinar Bob Willis will high light the benefits and show the process used in both contact and laser soldering to exceed the requirements of IPC 610 criteria. He will illustrate the common problems and how to overcome them with good practice. In addition Bob will show some of the reliability test results with standard lead-free and higher temperature alloys
Our webinar will also showcase the “Robotic Soldering Experience” a hands on feature bringing together the most well-known companies in robotic soldering their materials and experience. If you have any specific questions or existing production issues email the presenter in advance bob@bobwillis.co.uk
