Hanwha Techwin Receives Two 2020 Mexico Technology Awards

Hanwha Techwin Automation Americas, formerly Samsung C&T Automation, was awarded two 2020 Mexico Technology Awards in the categories of Placement –Mid-Speed for its new Decan S1 and Printing for the ESE U-S2000XF. The awards were announced during a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Monday, October 26, 2020.

With the highest performance among mounters in its class, the Decan S1 accommodates PCBs up to 510 x 510mm (standard) / 1500 x 460mm (option), with the ability to produce PCBs up to 1,500mm(L) x 460mm(W) in size.

The Decan S1 next-generation mid-speed chip mounter provides the optimal productivity for batch production, while improving actual productivity and placement quality, and reducing loss rates. With a placement speed of 47,000 Cph and accuracy of ±28μm microns, the Decan S1 improves the placement speed of odd-shape components by 25 percent.

The competitively priced Decan S1 features a closed-loop process that makes the system the industry’s most competitive price-to-performance mid-speed mounter for NPI and volume production applications.  The system maintains placement accuracy by performing automatic calibration during production. Nozzle center recognition improves pick-and-place reliability of smaller parts such as 03015s.

The ESE U-S2000XF features an auto-changeover capacity of 10-products, paperless cleaning, enclosed print head and automatic underboard support systems for maximizing efficiency and minimizing cost of operation.
