Another great turn out for the 2017 Hand Soldering Competition
We would like to thank all the participants who signed up and competed in the 2017 IPC Hand Soldering Competition supported by Advanced Rework Technology. It was very well supported and the competition was tight.
We would also like to thank our sponsors Pace Europe Ltd, PM Tech, Henkel, Purex and Metcal for supplying the kit and products to make the competition possible.
Our lucky winner Przemyslaw Marszalek from Vanilla Electronics will be flying to Productronica in November to compete in the grand final to hopefully become world champion.
The Hand Soldering Competition will run again in 2018 so can you be the next champion?

Over two days, participants will compete against each other to build a functional electronics assembly within a 60-minute time limit. Assemblies will be judged on soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610F Class 3 criteria, the speed at which the assembly was produced and overall electrical functionality of the assembly.
IPC-A-610 Master Instructors will serve as the judges.
