FLITE Networking Lunch

They say there is no such thing as a free lunch?  Well there was at WNIE Live where FLITE held their first networking lunch for Women in Tech to meet and network.

The aim of FLITE is to build a platform based on real-life experiences to help raise the visibility of females in technology.  This inaugural event brought together our current members and some new faces, to share our knowledge, helping us to lead by example.

After the networking lunch there was a round table debate – Women in The Electronics Manufacturing Industry.  This debate was filmed by WNIE TV and can be viewed here

A big thank you to Lauren Costello-Fox from Computer Components Ltd, Emily Lawrie from Golledge Electronics Ltd, Gayle Paterson Founder of FLITE and Kim Sauer the interviewer for this.

Moving forward the aim of FLITE is to open up this platform, to invite any of our members, who may be able to offer a few hours per month to mentor our next generation of females starting out on their journey. On the flip side, we’d also like to hear from any females, who feel they would benefit by being mentored as they enter their career within the electronics industry.

Remember when one female helps another, something unique happens…
