An extra exhibition hall, a full conference programme and highly topical forum areas all point to another successful electronica

electronica 2016 hall plan

  • electronica from November 8 – 11, 2016 in Munich
  • Forums and Conference Program will cover latest applications
  • 13 halls packed with the latest innovations

Once again, electronica will bring the global electronics industry together in Munich for the World’s largest trade fair dedicated to every aspect of electronics technology. electronica 2016 will offer visitors the chance to see all the major players from key industry sectors including semiconductors, power, interconnection, embedded and test and measurement.  With the addition of an extra hall, electronica 2016 will have 13 halls full of innovations as well as an extensive programme of conferences and supporting events to provide visitors with the chance to learn more about developments that are considered key to the industry’s future. Topics will include automotive, embedded solutions, LED technology, Internet of Things, cyber security, healthcare and wearables.

The extra hall is the result of a continued demand for exhibition space and, according to Angela Marten, electronica’s Exhibition Director, the most rapidly growing exhibition sectors are semiconductors, power supplies as well as PCBs and other circuit carriers, EMS and embedded systems.  “Adding another hall to electronica gives exhibitors an opportunity to increase the size of their stands and allows us to include new exhibitors.” Says Angela Marten. “As a result, we have also made some changes to the hall assignments. Printed circuit boards, other circuit carriers and EMS will occupy two entire halls – B4 and C4 while power supplies become the focus in Halls A2 and A3. Electromechanics and system periphery moves into Halls B2 and B3.” Adds Marten

The international trade fair’s new start-up area

New company start-ups are an important impetus for economic and employment growth. But at the beginning they often face huge challenges when it comes to finding the right partner for their ideas or securing sufficient financing. Organized in conjunction with “Elektor” magazine, the new electronica Start-up Platform is designed to bring start-ups together with interested industries at a single location. With more than 2700 exhibitors, electronica gives start-up companies access to plenty of potential business partners and investors and allows them to present their ideas, projects and products to international industry representatives in presentations, demonstrations and personal discussions.

Embedded Platforms Conference and Village

In recent years, electronica’s Embedded Platforms Conference has proved very popular with hardware and software developers, system designers, product managers, development managers and everyone else involved in this important sector.
