The International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM) is proud to announce that its third International Conference will take place in London from the 11th -13th June.
Obsolescence Management capability is becoming increasingly recognized as a key specialist discipline in industrial, automotive and consumer sectors as well as in its roots of Aerospace and Defence, Railways, Oil & Gas, and Nuclear.
If you need to develop a servitisation business or to embrace the circular economy and changing consumer requirements, then you need to understand and manage obsolescence.
This conference is the world’s largest dedicated obsolescence management event.
The IIOM Conference is the only truly international, multi-sector conference that covers the entire supply chain, from component vendors to system integrators and end users.
This will be tenth conference organized by IIOM, previously known as COG; the first took place in 1999 and there will not be a larger gathering of obsolescence management subject matter experts at a single event this year.
Whether managing parts or any other aspect of a product that is vulnerable to obsolescence, then
the International Institute of Obsolescence Management provides a collaborative environment for
those that manage, can affect, are affected by or can provide assistance and solutions to resolve obsolescence.
This conference will bring together Obsolescence Management professionals, solution providers and
those who want to learn how to understand and reduce their exposure to obsolescence risk.
Delegates and speakers will come from more than fifteen countries including the USA, India, New Zealand and Europe. The Conference title ‘Managing the Cost of Obsolescence’ and the sub theme ‘‘Developing Strategies for Obsolescence Management to Mitigate Risk & Through Life Cost’’ was chosen by IIOM members.
The conference takes place on the 12th & 13th June when 24 papers on all aspects of obsolescence management will be presented. Speakers come from globally recognised companies such as Alstom, Ultra, Arrow Electronics, Safran Electrical and Power, the US DOD, IHS Markit, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, BP, & Aker Solutions.
Preceding the Conference will be two workshops also led by industry experts:
“Designing to Avoid Obsolescence at the Concept and Proposal Stage”, and
“Obsolescence Management and Supply Chain resilience”
For the two days of the conference, there will be an associated exhibition with more than a dozen obsolescence resolution and training companies showing delegates their capabilities.
The principal Sponsor for the conference is Winslow Adaptics to whom IIOM wish to give thanks.
The Conference, Exhibition and Workshops will be held at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London
Kensington, located in London’s West End and just a few minutes’ walk from High Street Kensington
underground station; and well located for Heathrow Airport.
