Dow’s New DOWSIL™ EA 3500G Fast Cure Adhesive Delivers Uniquely Rapid and Cost-Effective Processing of LED Lighting and Other Assemblies

SCSDow Performance Silicones, a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation, today unveiled DOWSIL™ EA 3500G Fast Cure Adhesive, an advanced new silicone capable of building primerless adhesion within 10 minutes at room temperature – effectively delivering the rapid processing speed typical of a heat-cure adhesive in a cost-efficient moisture-cure formulation. DOWSIL™ EA 3500G Fast Cure Adhesive also retains its physical and electrical properties at temperatures ranging from -45°C to 200°C (‑49°F to 392°F), ensuring the reliability and service life of LED lamps and luminaires, as well as home appliances, mobile devices, industrial circuit boards and other components to which it is applied.

A two-part, room-temperature vulcanizate (RTV) silicone, DOWSIL™ EA 3500G Fast Cure Adhesive cures rapidly at room temperature after mixing, and adheres to most substrates, including aluminum, glass and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). The rapid cure of this high-performance silicone enables handling and assembly of components within minutes to support faster processing. Full adhesion is achieved after several days as cure progresses evenly throughout the material, allowing deep-section or confined space cure.

Dow’s new fast-cure RTV adhesive is available globally under the new DOWSIL™ label, which builds on seven decades of innovation and proven performance from the heritage Dow Corning silicone technology platform.
