Advanced Manufacturing Services Limited (AMS) is an established supplier of capital equipment, consumable products and services to the professional PCA/PCB assembly industry within the UK and Ireland. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the South of England and South Wales. Working as part of a small and dynamic team the role will primarily focus on managing the sales of our extensive portfolio within the regional sales area. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the control of all sales within the sales region and the reporting of performance to the MD on a regular basis.
The role is ideally suited to a dynamic, self-motivated sales executive who wishes to work with like-minded people to drive the business forward. Consideration will also be given to production/process engineers currently working within the PCA/PCB assembly industry who feel that their skills would be suited to this sales role (full training will be provided). The role is permanent, salary consists of a base salary + commission/bonus, is home based and the company will provide a car, laptop, phone and business related expenses.
Responsibilities Maintain the company’s image as a professional and progressive company within the industry. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers. Identify and develop customers using own initiative. Perform regular customer visits to ensure the company’s presence is maintained. Maintain adequate reporting of sales opportunities and customer information to ensure the continued accuracy of the CRM system. Responsible for the conversion, management and reporting of sales within the sales region and to the company’s targets. Develop strong working relationships with our suppliers and work closely with them to maximise opportunities. Work closely with our office support staff to maximise opportunities Introduce new systems/strategies to improve our sales performance and company productivity. Identify and exploit previously unidentified business opportunities. Continuously develop and update the AMS website and online shop to ensure best in class status is maintained. Provide equipment demonstration/training when required. Pursue sales leads provided by the company’s marketing activities and other sources. Attend tradeshows as and when required. Provide a monthly expense report. Foreign travel may be required. Attend regular sales and staff meetings at the company’s head office. Full Driving License and passport. HNC/HND/ Degree preferably in an Engineering or Business discipline. Proven track record of selling to the PCA/PCB Assembly industry. Technical knowledge from working as a Production/Process Engineer wishing to move into a technical sales role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key account management experience is desirable. Microsoft Office (Office 365) skills are essential. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are used on a daily basis. CRM software experience would be seen as an advantage although training will be given. Commercial/Business acumen is essential for the role, the ability to maximise revenue from each sale is essential. Ability to work alone, be organised, self-motivated and meet tight deadlines. Ability to learn new products and processes and enthuse these to our customers.
